Palazzo Medici Clarelli, designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, was the Roman residence of Cosimo II De Medici. The building, constructed with load-bearing masonry and wooden floors, was built around the middle of the 16th century with subsequent expansion in the seventeenth century. The asset, which has five floors above ground, as well as a basement, for a total gross area of about 3,500 sqm, is classified under “Historical City – buildings of medieval origin”: It is included in the Charter of Quality, under “Buildings with special characteristics, special residential buildings and “Noble” buildings.
BrainsDigital created a high quality BIM Model based on accurate Laser Scan Surveys and built ad-hoc algorithms. This was done to generate and manage 3D parametric objects, describing complex architectural geometries.
